Battle of the Books

This year’s Battle of the Books team worked extremely hard in preparation for the competition that was held on March 25, 2015.  This group consisted of 10 4th and 5th grade students.  The students had to read 18 chapter books and answer questions about the books.  They competed against all the elementary schools in Haywood County.  Mr. Hyde, Media Coordinator, was their coach.  “I am so proud of this fine group of students,” Mr. Hyde stated when asked about the team.  “Their work ethic and determination is a force to be reckoned with, and they did great!”
