Reeves’ Readers Run

On Saturday, April 18, Junaluska Elementary School hosted the 1st Annual Reeves’ Readers Run 5K Race.  Over 100 participants ran in the event making it a huge event in honor and memory of our beloved Nichole Reeves who tragically passed away in 2014.  The Reeves and Mathis families were participants in the race.  Many community members, students, staff and faculty from Junaluska Elementary also completed the race!  Mrs. Reeves absolutely loved reading and inspired that love in all the children she taught.  The proceeds from the event will help purchase books for every classroom at Junaluska Elementary School.  Thank you for all our many sponsors that helped make this a memorable event for everyone!  We hope to see you next year!!!
