The Haywood County Extension Master Gardeners have been busy at Junaluska throughout the spring, summer, and fall of this year. They have been working with 1st, 2nd, and multiage classes.
Our school garden program built upon lessons from last Spring to harvest the vegetables we planted and lovingly tended over the summer. For 8 weeks this fall, the Master Gardeners worked with students to teach the following centered around their group names:
Pollination
Germination
Precipitation
Photosynthesis
We would like to thank the Master Gardeners for their hard work and dedication throughout this school year. This program is a great way to get kids involved with agriculture!
