The Kindness of Strangers

On Thursday, September 5, JES received over 1600 books for our school. These books will go into classrooms and our school library. This gift was from a group of conference attendees at Lake Junaluska Conference Center. As part of their conference, members of the National Older Adult Conference (NOAC) brought books from as far away from Michigan and Pennsylvania. We are so grateful for this wonderful gift from people who have been so generous to our community despite living hundreds of miles from here. Additionally, members of the conference visited classrooms and read to students and hosted a musical program in the gym.
