STEM camp scholarships available for girls

The STEM camp scholarship encourages girls and young women to pursue STEM fields by attending science-related summer camps. This program has been growing and this year there will be three scholarships in the amount of $250 each.

The application deadline is December 20th and next year’s winners will be announced at the end of January. The application can be found here:

The scholarships are open to young women residing in western North Carolina counties including Alleghany, Alexander, Ashe, Avery, Buncombe, Burke, Caldwell, Catawba, Cherokee, Clay, Cleveland, Graham, Haywood, Henderson, Macon, Madison, McDowell, Mitchell, Polk, Rutherford, Transylvania, Swain, Watauga, Wilkes and Yancey.
