Tuesday, October 28th was an exciting day at Junaluska Elementary School. Students, parents, and faculty dressed as their favorite children’s book character. Students and parents traveled across grade levels and participated in teacher-led interactive read-alouds, which is an integral component of literacy instruction. Afterwards, a parade of costumes was held in the gymnasium. Every student was given a book as a “treat” to take home. This day was held in part of requirements by the Federal Title I Program.
