Battle of the Books

On Thursday, March 23, 13 students in grades 4 and 5 participated in the county Battle of the Books competition.  Students had to read 18 chapter books from and answer questions based on the books.  Mr. Hyde, media coordinator, is very proud of each of these students.  “It takes a lot of hard work, commitment, and dedication to be a member of the Battle of the Books Team.  I already have students signing up for next year!”  Mr. Hyde and Mrs. Sollie were school coaches.  Mrs. Melanie McConnell also volunteered her time as well in preparation for the event.
