Student Council and Safety Patrol Induction Ceremony

October 6^th was an exciting day at Junaluska Elementary School.  We had our Student Council and Safety Patrol Induction Ceremony.  The ceremony began with the Presentation of the Colors by Tuscola High School ROTC members, under the direction of Lieutenant Colonel Kevin Sutton.  School Board Chairman, Chuck Francis, led the school in the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the singing of the National Anthem by Tuscola High School chorus members, under the direction of Ms. Martha Brown.  Associate Superintendent, Dr. Bill Nolte, addressed the inductees and student body about leadership and the qualities it takes to be a great leader.  Principal, Sherri Arrington, introduced the Student Council and Safety Patrol inductees while Mrs. Sollie, Mrs. Nichols, Mr. Hyde, and Mr. Edwards gave lanyards and Safety Patrol belts to students.  School Resource Officer, Eddie New was present with Safety Patrol students.  Mrs. Arrington congratulated these students and concluded the ceremony.
