Parent & Family Engagement Policy | 2026–2027
Working Together for Student Success
Junaluska Elementary believes strong home–school partnerships help every student thrive. We provide clear communication, meaningful family involvement, and opportunities for families to support learning.
Family Engagement at JES
Support Learning at Home: Families learn strategies for reading, math, independence, and positive habits through Curriculum Nights, Family Math Night, and grade‑level events.
Learn With Your Child: Parents are invited to Open House, Title I Family Night, classroom demonstrations, performances, and sessions on academics, student growth, SEL, and TBRI.
Share Your Voice: Families participate in Parent Advisory Council, School Improvement Team, Title I planning, and surveys. Feedback guides school decisions.
Connect With Our Community: Families join school traditions and volunteer opportunities such as Fall Festival, Living Museum, Egg Drop Challenge, Muddy Sneakers, gardening projects, celebrations, and classroom events.
Communication & Accessibility
JES communicates through ParentSquare/Remind, Infinite Campus Parent Portal, conferences, newsletters, phone calls, and the school website. Information is shared clearly and translated when possible.
