Dr. Baker Perry, PhD visits J.E.S.

Professor of Geography at Appalachian State and National Geographic Contributor, Dr. Baker Perry, PhD visited the 4th and 5th graders at Junaluska Elementary on Thursday, October 6th. Dr. Perry holds the Guinness World Record for establishing the highest weather station in the world on Mount Everest. He has taken a total of 23 expeditions so far in order to establish weather stations in high altitudes across the world. He shared some of his recent experiences with the students and answered their questions.
