School Sponsorship Fundraiser

Dear Junaluska Elementary Family and Friends,
We are reaching out with an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on our children’s daily lives at Junaluska
Elementary. Our school’s playground is in need of a significant update, and we need your help to make it happen!
The larger playground structure is nearly 20 years old and was originally built to accommodate 150 fewer

students than we have today. Outdoor play is essential for children’s physical health, social skills, and problem-
solving abilities. Studies show that movement-based learning improves memory, focus, and overall academic

performance. A well-equipped playground encourages creativity, teamwork, and active lifestyles, helping students
develop key skills both inside and outside the classroom. To support our students, we aim to add new play
structures, hardscaping, picnic tables, and shade structures.
Because of the size and scope of this project, it will be our primary fundraising focus for the next few years. Last
year, thanks to generous contributions from families and businesses like yours, we raised nearly $20,000. This year,
we hope to meet or exceed that amount!
One way businesses can support this effort is through sponsorships. Sponsors at certain donation levels will have
their business name or logo featured on the back of a special t-shirt given to all students and staff. These shirts are
worn proudly each Friday to promote school pride and unity, providing excellent visibility for our supporters while
directly benefiting our school community. Your sponsorship will help provide over 500 shirts and contribute to vital
playground improvements.
We encourage local businesses, families, civic groups, and individuals to consider making a donation or becoming
a school sponsor. Your support is not just a contribution—it’s an investment in the children of our community and
their future.
